WOMEN AND THEIR MINISTRY

Ministry: A profession and service of a religious minister / person.
Or the period of service of a religious minister / person.

Do women even have ministry?
Proverbs 31:10-30

The ministry if a woman or the ways in which women minsterare many, but I have classify them into two (2).

1. PHYSICAL MINSTRY

A.MINISTRY TO THE FAMILYl
(Proverbs 31:15, 21-22)

She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens. She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet. She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.

1. Husband (Proverbs 31:11,23, 1 Corinthians 7:4a)

The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.

1 Corinthians  7:4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.

2. Children (Proverbs 22:6, Deuteronomy 11:18-21, 1 Samuel 1:24-28, 2:18-19, 2:26, Elizabirth-Luke 1:80a, Mary - Luke 2:40, 52, Eunice - 2 Timothy 1:1-7)

Proverbs  22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Deuteronomy  11:18-21 Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates: That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.

2 Timothy  1:5 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.

3. Relatives (Esther 8:3-6, 7:3-4, 9:24-25)

Esther 8:3-6 And Esther spake yet again before the king, and fell down at his feet, and besought him with tears to put away the mischief of Haman the Agagite, and his device that he had devised against the Jews. Then the king held out the golden sceptre toward Esther. So Esther arose, and stood before the king, And said, If it please the king, and if I have found favour in his sight, and the thing seem right before the king, and I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews which are in all the king's provinces: For how can I endure to see the evil that shall come unto my people? or how can I endure to see the destruction of my kindred?

Esther  7:3-4 Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request: For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king's damage.

Esther  9:24-25 Because Haman the son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had devised against the Jews to destroy them, and had cast Pur, that is, the lot, to consume them, and to destroy them; But when Esther came before the king, he commanded by letters that his wicked device, which he devised against the Jews, should return upon his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.

B. PROFESSIONAL MINISTRY

Boss / Leader, Friends, Subordinates (Proverbs 31:13-14, 16-18, 24.

Proverbs  31:13-14 She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.

Proverbs  31:16-18 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.  She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms. She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.

Proverbs  31:24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.

2. SPIRITUAL MINISTRY / MINISTRY TO GOD (1 Corinthians 11:26, Galatians 3:28, Ephesians 2:10, Mark 15:16)

Galatians  3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Mark  16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

A. GENERAL MINISTRY

1 Corinthians  11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.
Mark 15:16
- Martha received Christ Jesus (Luke 10:38-42, John 12:2)
Lydia (Acts 16:14-15)
- They helped Christ Jesus out of their own means (financially) (Luke 8:3)

B. PERSONAL MINISTRY

(Judges 4:4-5, Ephesians 2:10, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11, Matthew 25:15, Luke 19:13)

Judges  4:4 And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time. And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.

Ephesians  2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

1 Corinthians  12:4-11 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

Matthew  25:15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

Luke  19:13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

Examples of some great women in the Bible
1. Deborah (a judge and a prophetess; Judges 4 (4:4-5)
2. Anna (a Jewish prophetess who prophesied about Christ Jesus; Luke 2:36-38)
3. Priscilla and Aquilla, the evangelists and teachers (Acts 18:26, Romans 16:3)
4. Huldah the prophetess, 2 Chronicles 22:33
5. Hannah mother of Samuel, 1Samuel
6. Marry, mother of Christ Jesus,
7. Paul's greetings to some great women, who worked hard for the Gospel of God (Romans 16:1-15).

 SOME GREAT WOMEN OF GOD

1. Kathryn Kulman; the woman who believed in miracles. Born in may 1907, she met Christ Jesus when she was 14 years old.
2. Aimee Semple McPherson; the woman of destiny. Born on October 1890. She was a winner of souls.
3. Maria Woodworth-Etter; the demonstrator of the Spirit. Born in 1844, met Christ Jesus at age 13.
She wrote; "I heard the voice of Jesus calling me to go out in the highways and hedges and gather in the lost sheep"
"My dear sisters in Christ, as you hear these words, may the Spirit of Christ come upon you and make you willing to do the work the Lord has assigned to you. It is high time for women to let their light shine; to bring out their talent that have  been hidden away, rusting and use them for the glory of God, and do with their might what their hand finds to do, trusting God for strength, who has said, "I will never leave you" . let us not plead weakness, God will use the weak things of the world to confound the wise. We are sons and daughters of the most high God, should we not honour our high calling and do all we can to save those who seat in the valley and shadow of death?
Did he not send Moses, Aaron, Miriam to be your leaders?
The Lord raised up men, women and children of His own choosing - Deborah, Hannah, Anna, Phoeba, Julia, the Marty's and the sisters who calabored with Paul .
Is it less becoming for women to labour in Christ Jesus kingdom and vineyard, now than it was then?"

There is no limitation to the gift of God (Acts 2:17-18, 1Corinthians 12:27-31, 1Peter 4:10-11, Romans 12:3-4)

Because 1Corinthians 14:33-35 and 1 Timothy 2:8-15 does not allow women to speak in church, Most women are sitting on their gifts/ministry.
But we should not forget that, we will individually be judged according to what we used our talents (gifts/ministry) for. ( Revelations 22:12, 1 Corinthians 3:8b, Job 34:11, Jeremiah 17:10).

The only way I think we can identify/ know our ministry/gifts and use them is by prayer and fasting.

The woman who fulfils the role God established for her is not inferior in any way to a man, rather she is acting as a Godly woman.
