MARRIAGE

Genesis 2:18,21-25
[18]Then the lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”
[21]So the lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. While the man slept, the lord God took out one of the man’s ribs and closed up the opening.
[22]Then the lord God made a woman from the rib, and he brought her to the man.
[23]“At last!” the man exclaimed. “This one is bone from my bone,     and flesh from my flesh! She will be called ‘woman,’     because she was taken from ‘man.’”
[24]This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.
[25]Now the man and his wife were both naked, but they felt no shame. NLT

How do you know whether the person you have found is the one God wants for you?
One of the primary ways to find out the mind of God concerning you choice is by what we call "Sensing of the spirit" or discernment.

You may meet someone who seems all okay but something within you, which cannot explain, begins to tog at your heart and silently cautions you "no, that's not it" . many times that is the voice of of God prompting you.
On the other hand, you could also meet someone who you don't immediately like and yet you could have great peace in your heart, concerning that person.
Some how, any time you think about or pray for or talk to that person, something deep inside you that it's OK, that's the one.

Many have ignored such define guidance and regretted latter.
Others have fought off such promptings for a long time, but eventually conceded and gone on to enjoy very successful relationship which lead to marriage.

Having peace in your heart is often an indication of God's assurance, on the other hand, if you have agitations and confusion in your spirit, you most likely struggling against the will of God.

Why God established marriage.

1. To shear life together.
2. To support one another.
3. Honour (Respect, dignity, reputation, personal integrity, etc).

Someone compatible to one.

You cannot shear what you don't have.
What you have is what you shear (love, anger, frustration, peace, etc)

NOTE:

1. The man and woman were not created together.
2. The man and woman were not created to be the same.
3. The man and woman were created to be a part of each other.

For marriage to work, we must understand;
1. The differences between male and female.
2. The responses to each other.
3. The response to issues.
4. The needs of each other.
4. That, women must humble themselves to their husbands and men must love their wives. (Ephesians 5:24-25 As the church submits to Christ, so you wives should submit to your husbands in everything. For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her NLT,

Colossians 3:18-19 Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting for those who belong to the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and never treat them harshly. NLT)

A man is designed to give and the woman to developed it. The woman will take what you give to her, multiply it and give it back to you. They take a single sperm of yours, developed it into a baby and give it back to you.

Eg. That think over things (words, issues, etc) for long and give back to you in the appropriate time.
Men on the other hand, say their issues and go away.

- Men are easily aroused (are always ready), but women take long time ie,. not easily aroused.
- Women solve their problems by talking, while men solve their problem by keeping quiet.
- Women are easily influenced by what they see and easily live their lives to please people.
