BUILDING A HEALTHY CHRISTIAN RELATINSHIP

1 Corinthians 14
[40]But be sure that everything is done properly and in order.
1 Thessalonians 4:4-5
[4]Then each of you will control his own body and live in holiness and honor—
[5]not in lustful passion like the pagans who do not know God and his ways.

The moment we started learning from childhood, was the time we were being prepared for marriage. Who we are, depends on our family from infancy.
Don't zero inn (look) on one person, God knows you more than you know yourself therefore pray to Him to help you choose the right person.

How can we know whom God wants for us?
1. We need wisdom in the period of our courtship, which He will give to you during this period of courtship.
2. He will confirm it with His word, His Spirit, His anointing on you, your parents and pastors.
3. There is a difference between a mango which has ripe on the tree and fallen and that which fell before it ruled.

Some qualities we need whilst we wait;
1. Sense of commitment.
2. Tolerance (forbearance, James 1:19).
3. Hardworking attitude.
4. Humility (of the mind and heart).
5. Sound speech.
6. Compassion.

Some of the things that attract the men.
1. Inner beauty (character)
2. Physical appearance (presentable).

After you have met and are convinced;
1. Recognise that both of you are human beings and have feelings.
2. Accept the fact that God has accepted your relationship in which you are in.
3. Be honest and Godly in all your deeds, during your courtship.
4. Decide to build a relationship that will lead to marriage, devoid of sin in the site of God.
5. Decide not to marry out of compassion, pity, etc

Psalms 37:4-5
Take delight in the lord,     and he will give you your heart’s desires.
Commit everything you do to the lord. Trust him, and he will help you.
